As someone who works for myself, I have to remind myself of this all the time and because I work out of my house, it can be difficult to separate work life from home life. There are always candles to be poured, photos to be edited, and business tasks to be completed so because I don’t physically leave the building at the end of a work day, it is hard for me to walk away. But then of course, when I do pull myself away from working, all I see are the chores and house projects I “should” be doing. Now I KNOW I am not the only person who feels this pressure to always be doing something. We all have our stories of what keeps us in this headspace, so this is just a little reminder to all of us: This is not sustainable! We need balance and we NEED downtime! So, as soon as you can, get into some comfy clothes, light your Japanese Woods candle (which is a scent that is great for stress relief) put your feet up, and zone out to our Chill Out [electronic edition] playlist.
